Grizzlies make it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history! May 2013

My son got married in May and he and his wife moved to an apartment in Midtown on the verge of Downtown.  My daughter started her freshman year at U of M in August. Because of these two life events, I have spent more time in these parts of the city than ever before in the 26 years I have lived here.  I'm so happy that I have discovered so many interesting restaurants, neighborhoods, shopping, and entertainment venues in the U of M, Midtown and Downtown areas that I never knew existed.  There's a lot more to do, and to be proud of, in this town than most of us suburbanites could imagine.  Thankful to say I have burst out of my safe little bubble!
