Choose Your Own (Food) Adventure at Greencork: Part Two

Last week, I talked about Greencork's atmosphere and fancy wine dispensers, and you can read that here. Here's the lowdown on the food.

They have small plates, including cold antipasto kinds of things and more substantial things like curried butternut squash soup and pork tenderloin.

We went for the picnic basket. At $14 per person (and they let us order a two person size even though there were three of us) it was pretty affordable.

The basket arrived filled with cured meats, cheeses, crackers, fruit, veggies, salmon mousse and paté. A couple of condiments and orange marmalade rounded out the presentation. It was very pretty.

We liked the cheese truffles, especially one that tasted a bit lemon-y. The salmon mousse was surprisingly very good.  Depending on how hungry you are, the basket has enough food for a light meal with room for dessert.

Greencork is only for folks ages 21 and up, and it's ADA accessible. There were several options for vegetarians, but not really any vegan options other than the black bean hummus (and you'd need to double-check that one).

  • Thanks for letting me know it's accessible – will definitely be getting up there now that I know all of my friends and I can!!

  • Definitely in my list! Thanks for sharing.

  • The food is fabulous.  I had the tenderloin with the blackberry reduction on a mushroom scone that was to die for!!!!!  There were 3 of us and we also had a picnic basket for 2.  One of my friends had the buffalo chicken meatloaf slider and said it was great.  I loved the idea of taste testing the wines as it gives you an opportunity to see what other varieties you like.  The night we went was packed.  A friend of mind and his guest went also and loved the food and said it was packed as well.  Going to Greencork is an absolute must!
