Memphis Mystery Train Set List: April 26, 2012

Pledge week is over and things are back to normal on the Mystery Train (which means that I'm back to hanging out alone with my records). Thanks to everyone who donated to keeping volunteer radio alive in Memphis.

That said, I do have a special show coming up on May 10. It's the Thursday before Mothers Day, which means that I'll be doing my annual "Your Mom" theme show. And this year, I've got a special guest - my mom. Think of questions for her, then call in and ask them. She's promised to be agreeable.

The View, Memphis, Tenn.

Here's what I played on this week's Memphis Mystery Train. The local tracks are marked with an asterisk and my notes are in italics:

*Reigning Sound - We Repel Each Other
The Egyptians - Party Stomp
Joan Jett - Bad Reputation
Old 97s - Rollerskate Skinny (ed. - Roller skating made me skinny.)

Thao with the Get Down Stay Down - Good Bye Good Luck (ed. - This has been on repeat this week.)
*Roy Orbison - I Give Up

Pulp - Disco 2000
The Exciters - He's Got the Power
Kaiser Cheifs - Everyday, I Love You Less and Less

They Might Be Giants - Yeh Yeh
Sleater-Kinney - You're No Rock'n'Roll Fun
The Living End - Roll On

Plastic Bertrand - Ca Plane Pour Moi
