I love it when positive Memphis stories make national headlines. Today's assignment is to see "Undefeated", a Memphis movie that was nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature.

"Undefeated", which is about one season with the Manassas High School football team, is one of the best sports movies I've ever seen, mostly because it's true. It's got all of the elements - a fledgling team with a terrible record, a stubborn mentor, underdog status and an ending that will soften even the most bitter hearts.

No, those aren't tears - it's just raining in my eyes.

Above all, "Undefeated" is a Memphis story, full of gritty spirit and big personalities.
